Laguna Beach is Southern California's premier coastal destination located along the southern coast of Orange County.

Laguna Beach is in the heart of The "OC" adjacent to the Pacific Ocean with 7.1 miles of oceanfront vistas. Located 50 miles south of Los Angeles and 70 miles north of San Diego, Laguna Beach is easy to get to via Laguna Canyon or Pacific Coast Highway.

Laguna Beach offers a mild climate with average annual daytime temperatures ranging between the mid-60s in the winter months and the low-80s in the summer months. The average temperature in Laguna Beach fluctuates about 10 degrees between the summer and the winter.  

Located just 18 miles from John Wayne Airport Orange County (SNA), 37 miles from Long Beach Airport (LGB), 55 miles from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), and 72 miles from San Diego International Airport (SAN).

Laguna Beach has been known as an artists' colony for more than 100 years. Some of the annual arts festivals include Laguna Art-A-Fair, Festival of Arts, Sawdust Art Festival, the Laguna Beach Music Festival and the Laguna Dance Festival.

In 1918, artist Edgar Payne opened an art gallery that later became the Laguna Art Museum, one of the first art museums in the state. Today, there are more than 70 art galleries and 400 working artists and studios in Laguna Beach.

With more than 30 coves, beaches and parks, Laguna Beach is the ideal spot for coastal fun. Whether you enjoy snorkeling, swimming, stand-up paddle boarding, playing volleyball or exploring the tide pools, the area's eight miles of coastline offer something for everyone.

Hotel Laguna was the first hotel built in Laguna Beach and the first substantial business building. The structure as it now stands was built in 1930. Today there are 25+ hotels, motels and bed & breakfasts throughout Laguna Beach.

The city of Laguna Beach has three distinct areas: north Laguna Beach, south Laguna Beach and the heart of the city, the downtown village/Laguna Canyon.
